To keep comparisons fair and apples-to-apples, we anchor this view to CPC subclasses that most directly capture patient-facing devices and instrumentation. That means we emphasize A61B, A61F, A61M, and include C12Q where the claimed subject matter centers on bioassay instrumentation used in care settings.

We're not including peripheral CPCs that touch life sciences indirectly. When CPCs span multiple industries, we classify by the primary CPC and the invention’s center of gravity.
